Cowper, William
The anatomy of humane bodies, with figures drawn after the life by Some Of The Best Masters In Europe, And Curiously Engraven in one hundred and forteen copper plates. To which is added an introduction explaining the animal oeconomy, With A Copious Index. The second edition.
printed for Joh. Arn. Langerak. And to be had in London from Messrs Innys and Manby, Leyden [Leiden], 1737. Large folio, ff. [69] + engraved half-title and 114 plates (several folding). Modern panelled calf in precise period style, spine gilt in compartments, red morocco label. Small wormhole to lower margin of first half, a few old tears neatly repaired, lightly soiled and creased in places. Stamp of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland to half-title and title-page (dispersed between 2011 and 2015).
