Printed by Lyman and Beardslee, New=Orleans, 1827. 2 volumes, 8vo. lxxxiii,(1),364;xv,(1)429pp. Contemporary full leather, spines with simple rules, leather lettering labels, gilt. Half-titles present in both volumes. Ownership name, E. Rawle, on the reverse of the half-titles. The classic history of Louisiana, from the discovery of America to the War of 1812, and with much on exploration and Native Americans. Bindings worn at corners and spine tips, some hinges neatly mended, one hinge cracked but firm; usual foxing to the text block. Still a very good set in an original binding.
