Published by London : Printed by Felix Kingston for Robert Bostocke dwelling in Pauls Church-yard at the signe of the Kings head, 1640. Octavo. 165mm x 112mm. Title page is ragged and mounted with minimal loss only. The following 2 leaves are strengthened on the outer with no loss. Collates [14],198,[2]p lacking only a page of Contents. There is a short closed tear p79/80, some worming to lower outer margins, dampstaining in places, else a good to very good copy. This is a very scarce book by John Ley, Vicar of Budworth in Chester who wrote this memorial of one, Jane Ratcliffe, the wife of John Ratcliffe, lawyer and politician who was removed from his position because he refused the negative oath. Scarcely represented in Institutional Libraries.
