Cagle calls this edition the Third American edition, after First American 1818 Philadelphia edition and an 1819 New-Haven edition, originally published in London in 1810. xxxii, [25-408 pp. 12mo. Cagle says it is not by Mrs. Rundell Chapter Vi is on Books: extract grease from leaves of books, method of cleaning dirty prints and books, bookbinder's paste, marble books on paper. Cagle 568; Lowenstein 83; Shaw and Shoemaker 1`819 n47937; Wheatron and Kerlly 2056 and 5341 Contemporary sheep, with 3/4 of an inch chipped off top of spine. Contemporary ownership signature of "John S. Turner 541 Dauphin Street Philadelphia." Very Good Cagle calls this edition the Third American edition, after First American 1818 Philadelphia edition and an 1819 New-Haven edition, originally published in London in 1810.
