The original typescript of Zane Grey's big Australian novel, Wilderness Trek, featuring two American cowboys working a cattle drive in the outback, and showing signs of extensive editorial intervention. Pauly reports that the manuscript was cut by two thirds for its posthumous publication in 1944. Cf. Pauly pp. 306-7 Ink number stamp. Some marginal chipping, last two leaves severely chipped and with old cellotape repairs, several leaves with date stamps 1944.
