Profusely illustrated throughout with the whismical imagery of original Lockwood illustrator Clifton Johnson's younger brother Charles Howard Johnson. Dark green cloth boards, darker green cover titles and design, moderate shelf wear, some discoloration. Spine titles in gilt and dark green. Cover depicts scene of Baron Trump and trusty canine Bulger shooting down below the earth's surface; scene of hooded ice pickers at spine. Pages generally very good; few w/moderate discoloration, few at back w/bleed to bottom edge. Brown floral patterned endpapers; some chip to front endp. Small attractive dentelle bordered stamp inside cover: "Library of Henry B. Russell, Hartford, Conn." String-bind good; hinges reinforced. From the author of Travels and Adventures of Little Baron Trump and His Wonderful Dog Bulger; and, finally his last novel uncannily entitled The Last President. Rare solid original w/near very good interior. Seemingly, the most rare of all Ingersoll Lockwood's Wonder Books. 235 pages with an advert at front for Lockwood's prior novels and five pages of press notice reviews for Little Baron Trump; Little Captain Doppelkopp on the Shores of Bubbleland; and, Little Giant Boab and His Talking Raven Habib.
