Original dark blue cloth, spine lettered gold, cover lettered in blind. In the original Dust Jacket. with "8/6 net" price on rear flap. Speculative Fiction. Future History.Possibly John Turner Layton, Jr. (1894-1978) African-American songwriter, singer and pianist. Layton was very successful in England along with Clarence "Tandy" Johnstone as the very popular group "Layton & Johnstone" in the mid-twenties through the mid-thirties. Book Condition- Very Good: A very firm signed and inscribed copy. There is an inch closed tear to the spine cloth at top corner. Top corners bumped. Very slight spine fade. Minor dings to covers. Owner's name stamp to front pastedown. Very faint toning to the endpapers. Moderate dust-darkened top edges. Bright clean pages. Dust Jacket Condition- Good: Bright jacket cover with tattered chipped edges, slightly faded spine with rubbed side edges. Original price intact on flap. Brodart protective archival cover.
