Abbey, Edward
Brave Cowboy
Dodd Mead, New York, 1956. Black spine over tan boards with bright red and gold imprint on spine. The cleanest copy of this Abbey rarity that we have handled. Head and foot of spine is pushed slightly; bottom two corners of corners rubbed lightly. Very light bumping to one corner. Tight and square binding and clean interior. Jacket is also quite lovely. Spine is lightly faded but colors on front are vibrant. Minor chipping to edges. A couple small closed tears. Not price-clipped; protected by mylar cover. Signed copies of Brave Cowboy are scarce. This copy is inscribed to a private collector (not dated) on title page. From which the movie "Lonely Are the Brave" was adapted. Abbey's second novel, now harder to find than his first, Jonathan Troy. ; Book; 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall; 277 pp; Signed by Author [Attributes: First Edition; Signed Copy; Hard Cover; In Dust Jacket]
