A superb presentation copy inscribed in gilt on upper cover:'Presented to the RW. John E.W. Rolls Esqe D.P.G.M. for Monmouth>'. John Etherington Rolls (1807-1870) was a High Sheriff of Monmouthshire, art collector, Deputy Lieutenant and J.P. He also co-founded the famous Monmouth Show.
