Marcel Proust
Remembrance of Things Past
London: Chatto & Windus, 1941. Generally Very Good books in Very Good dust jackets, see photos and description for details. First uniform edition, first printings, complete in twelve hardcover volumes in dust jackets, published by Chatto & Windus (London, 1941). Translated by C.K. Scott Moncrieff. Book conditions: very good, some uneven toning to boards, some corners bumped, but generally quite nice and clean throughout. Many volumes are more near fine, but none are worse than very good. Dust jacket conditions: generally very good, a couple stray pen marks to front cover of vol1, foxing to some panels of a few volumes, general edgewear with mostly minor chipping to spine ends and corners, vols 5 and 8 more good than very good because of tearing to top 1/3s of spine panels. Scattered abrasions, spines a bit age toned. They look great as a set, and sets complete with all 12 volumes in dust jackets seem quite scarce. Tracked shipping to USA and Canada, through Canada Post/USPS. Overseas orders please inquire for shipping rates with tracking and estimated times.
