Brainard at the first blank page. 16mo (6.5" x 4.25"), [2], 348, & [16] pp., two parts bound in one volume. Contemporary full sheep, the spine in six compartments separated by raised bands, with a gilt-lettered maroon spine label in one compartment. ESTC N44455: OCLC finds 9 copies under 4 accession numbers.Binding rubbed & scuffed, joints & hinges cracked, gilt dull at spine label, ownership signatures of John G.C. Brainard & Rich. Hayes, Jr in old ink at front blanks, couple of leaves with short tears in the margins (text unaffected), several page corners turned, text tanned & foxed, a good or better copy.Originally published in 1733 with additional printings in 1734, 1739, 1741, & 1766.
