Edinburgh and London: William Blackwood and Sons, (No date. NCBEL gives a date of 1895 for this edition). Bound in burgundy half morocco, gilt lettered and decorated, and marbled paper boards, top edges gilt, marbled paper endpapers, crown octavo, titles in red and black. Each volume with the engraved bookplate of "Severin Flower" and the motto "Flores Curat Deus" (God Cares for the Flowers). Severin Flower was a relative of and shares this motto with English attorney, businessman and politician Cyril Flower, made Lord Battlesea in 1892. ("An Armorial of Zimbabwe and Rhodesia", 2001, p.43). Occasional light rubbing to edges, this set in Fine condition. [Attributes: Hard Cover]
