Churchill, Winston
Winston Churchill Autographed Letter Signed.
1947. Autographed letter signed by Winston Churchill with his handwritten postscript to his book editor Desmond Flower, dated November 19, 1947 on Churchill's Hyde Park Gate stationary. It reads, "Thank you very much for your letter of November 14, which it gave my pleasure to receive. Will you make the necessary arrangements with Eyre and Spottiswoode for taking over the type? I shall have to read the speeches through myself. Randolph is asking when the Preface will be needed. I suppose this depends on the time of publication, perhaps you will let me know about this. [The holograph postscript reads:] I am so glad all is settled so agreeably..." Matted and framed with a picture of Churchill. The entire piece measures 21 inches by 15 inches. A commemorative half crown with Churchill on the obverse has been affixed to the front of the glass. In near fine condition. [Attributes: First Edition; Signed Copy]
