Porter, Edwin H.
The Fall River Tragedy. A History of the Borden Murders. A Plain Statement of the Material Facts Pertaining to the Most Famous Crime of the Century, including the Story of the Arrest and Preliminary Trial of Miss Lizzie A. Borden and a Full Report of the Superior Court Trial, with a hitherto Unpublished Account of the Renowned Trickey-McHenry Affair, Compiled from Official Sources and Profusely Illustrated with Original Engravings
Fall River, MA. Rare 1893 copy in good condition with some signs of wear and age. The binding has been professionally recased and repaired, with reinforcement at the spine joints and spine ends. The book retains it's original endapers. There is some partial light cracking to a section of the pastedown near the back interior hinge. It is just a minor cosmetic issue; the actual hinge is good and strong. The covers have some moderate wear with rubbing to the lettering and a fair amount of corner wear. The binding of the book is good and sound. The interior is lightly toned from age but is fairly clean with just some occasional light foxing, soiling, and grubbiness. A very few pages have a minor marginal tear. Along with that, there may be the very occasional page with some kind of minor imperfection such as a small chip, light wrinkle, creased page corner, etc. Generally though, it's a good copy. The book measures approximately 9 3/8 inches by 6 inches and is 312 pages long. It is illustrated with a few black and white illustrations & diagrams. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
