London: Grant Richards, 1909. First Edition. Hardcover. 8vo. 271pp, 15p. publisher's catalogue dated 1908. Publisher's red cloth with vertical black stripe design to the front board, with gilt lettering to the front board and spine. Very light rubbing to the cloth along some edges and around the spine ends, spine ends lightly bumped and the spine sunned, with two small water spots to the rear board and one small one to the front. Previous owner's ink stamp to the front endpaper, and light offsetting to the endpapers. Small and faint damp stain to the fore-edges of about 4 pages starting at the title, but overall a clean and tight copy. The first edition by Richards with this title, the Translation of "Arsene Lupin contre Herlock Sholmes," by Alexander Teixeira de Mattos. Scarce. [Hubin, 242].
