A collection of etchings from the first twenty-one years of the author's career, from when he first learned the intaglio process. van Sandwyk describes his own experience with the process and the influence of Rembrandt van Rijn, Albrecht Durer, and Arthur Rackham as his exemplars. Six tipped-in illustrations. Prefatory comments note that the essay in this work first appeared in Twenty-One Years, Twenty-One Prints, a deluxe edition of ten copies.
