Oxford: at the Clarendon Press, 1938. First edition, folio (379 x 281mm.) Colour frontispiece with tissue-guard, 159 plates, 2 folding tables, illustrations in the text. Later green cloth, black morocco lettering piece to the spine. Note: an important reference work on English medieval embroidery. Provenance: West Riding County Library small stamp verso plate 159 (back of the last page). Some light wear present to the cover as shown in the photo. A couple of foxing spots present to the title pages and one small pen mark present to one of the page edges. Otherwise a very good clean copy free from markings or damage to the pages.
