John Murray, London, 1927. First edition. A VERY GOOD book (lacking the jacket). Spine is faded but the covers and gilt titles on the front board are bright. .Three small ink dots on rear board. End papers show a little offset from the now absent jacket. Small bookseller's label ( Brentano's: Paris) to rear paste down . Bookplate of one of the founders, along with Christopher Morley, of "The Baker Street Irregulars", Edgar Wadsworth Smith industrialist (GM) and author of many articles regarding Sherlock Holmes. A little rubbing to spine ends and a couple of corners lightly bumped, otherwise the book is generally tight and square without foxing, writing, damp etc. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
