An excellent copy. 12 superb full-page pochoir illustrations. Tamar Karsavina (1885 - 1978) was Russian prima ballerina with the Imperial Russian Ballet and subsequently Diaghilev's Ballets Russes. These illustrations and accompanying poems illustrate some of her early key roles. She left Russia in 1918 and then married British diplomat Henry James Bruce. She subsequently lived in Hampstead and helped found the Royal ballet. [Attributes: Soft Cover]
