A nice copy of the author's third book, and first volume of memoirs, about his childhood in Eckington. Inscribed to Nan and Charley Mann, who would become the dedicatees of his best-known novel, *Alley Jaggers*: "Nan and Charley, with love from Paul on his birthday. 23 February 1963."
