They Knew What They Wanted
NEW YORK: Doubleday, Page & Company, 1925. First Edition, First Printing with the words "First Edition" printed on the copyright page. Includes Rare Dust Jacket in VG condition. Later editions do not have this First Edition statement. The book is in excellent condition. The binding is tight with NO cocking or leaning and the boards are crisp with minor wear to the edges. The pages are clean with NO writing, marks or bookplates in the book. Overall, a wonderful copy of this TRUE FIRST EDITION that won the Pulitzer Prize for drama in 1925. This copy also contains news clippings in the rear that described the marriage of the authors daughter to Samuel Goldwyn Jr. dated 8-14-1950. Also a clipping from January of 1931 announcing the wedding of the author himself. Wonderful copy which came from the estate of Harrison K. Ford, the silent film star of the 1920's. He was an avid book collector. Enjoy!
