Ishiguro, Kazuo
The Remains of the Day
Faber & Faber, Great Britain. This is a true UK first edition / first printing, wiith 'First published in 1989' on the copyright page. Flat-signed by the author to the title page (and unmarred by a dedication or date). This is perhaps the most well-loved novel by the Nobel Prize-winning author, about a butler reflecting on his many years of service at a stately home. It won the Booker Prize, and was made into an acclaimed film starring Anthony Hopkins. The side of the jacket has discoloured somewhat. There are two tiny, pale pink dots on the text block. Otherwise, a great copy. The pages are not yellowed, and the book has not been price-clipped, as is common with this edition. [Attributes: First Edition; Signed Copy; Hard Cover; In Dust Jacket]
Bookseller: bluemanbooks [Ludlow, United Kingdom]
