First editions, first printings, all first state points met. Published by Eyre & Spottiswoode (London, 1946-59). Titus Groan First edition, first printing, published by Eyre & Spottiswoode (London, 1946). Dust jacket in the scarce first state. Book condition: near fine, gift inscription to previous owner on front endpaper, a bit of spotting to page edges, mostly at top edges toward spine where there is a small patch of dampstaining. Quite a nice copy, especially considering it was made under wartime restrictions and is thus quite vulnerable. Dust jacket condition: very good, some age toning to spine and rear panel, some restoration has been done to the spine ends where they must have been chipped at some point. Also a crease along spine. Presents nicely, with price of 15s Net present on front flap. Protected in a removable mylar sleeve. Gormenghast First edition, first printing, published by Eyre & Spottiswoode (London, 1950). Book condition: fine, a touch of age toning but otherwise perfectly lovely. Bright, square, tight and clean throughout. Dust jacket condition: very good, price-clipped, an area with some restoration work where it must have been abraded at some point (about three inches down from top of spine), also a closed tear between top of spine and front panel which has been repaired.
