Monochrome frontispiece and 11 similar plates, 2 pp. of publisher's advertisements at end. Spine ends bumped, a little rubbed, a couple of small marks to front board, the binding firm and square, light scattered foxing to edges and contents but not affecting plates; a very good copy. First edition, first impression, of the sequel to Mike, published the previous year. "This truly belongs to the public school books, but Psmith helps to bridge the gap. The bank portion is autobiographical and Mike's reactions were those of young Wodehouse" (Jasen). Jasen 14; McIlvaine A14a.
