The notebook includes specimen indictments, court cases, terminology for slang in the "Underworld" as well as Chinese terminology for Opium use, classifications of common poisons and drugs, and definitions of narcotics. Several tables for the chemical weight and structure are also included and the larger section of the notebook compiles all the known information for each individual drug using labeled tabs beginning with Apomorphine and Cocaine and continuing through Heroin and Strychnine. The information included on these pages contains the chemical structure, weight, components, and affects as well as how to extract and test substances for the particular drug listed.
