Fully illustrated by eminent artists: with two frontispieces, six plates, and numerous in-text wood-engravings. BAL 3337. McBride 18. First issue, in one of the publisher's deluxe bindings. Written as a companion to Innocents Abroad, Mark Twain here chronicles his experiences traveling and digging for gold in Nevada. A classic Twain tale of the American experience. A Very Good volume with a hint of wear to the extremities (spine is flawless) with a small tear to the margins of two leaves and the right corner lost from page 417 and the last blank leaf.
