Appresso Vittorio Baldini, In Venetia, 1582. First edition. Folio. pp. [1-2] 3-206, with a woodcut printer's device on the title page and numerous woodcut initials and tailpieces. Bound in contemporary parchment, title in gold on the spine, edges mottled red. Ex-library, with a contemporary ownership stamp (from Rome) on the title page, four later small ownership stamps (two on the title; two on front free endpaper), and one number stamp at the bottom of the first text page. Bookplate on the front pastedown of "Francis Augustus MacNutt" who was Papal Marquis, Knight of Saint Gregory and Papal Chamberlain to Popes Leo XIII and Pius X (also an American diplomat and writer of plays and histories).
