First edition of a 10-volume study of insects attributed on the title-page to Martin Grostête de Tigny (1736-1799), who died two years before publication and supposedly written by his wife Mme Grostête de Tigny. This attractively illustrated work forms volumes 46 to 55 of the "Suite à Buffon". Most of the plates are after drawings by De Sève and Barraband.
