Fleming, Ian
The Man With The Golden Gun
Jonathan Cape, London, 1965. 221 pages. believed to be unread, Black binding with gilt titles to spine in Fine condition, Contents also Fine, no inscriptions. Richard Chopping dust jacket ( not price clipped) good condition with minor dirt top & base spine, to front/rear some small minor tea staining marks, very good dust jacket edges. Ian Flemings ( 1908-1964) last official James Bond novel completed while alive & published 1965. There are no signs of being read, with very minor marks to D/J. I purchased this in a box of old mostly mint books from the 1960's /70's (this was near the bottom) a few years ago at a local Suffolk general auction, stated to have been found during the cleaning out of a local shop's store room in a cupboard believed to have there from a previous business. This is a 1st Edition, 1st Printing, 2nd Issue binding without the golden gun stamped on the front board ( only about 150 first state were issued/printed before realising the golden gun on the front was unstable and a bad idea, as too easily rubbed). So to top up this is a 1st Edition, 1st Printing, 2nd Issue binding with a fine binding/contents and dust jacket with some minor faults. Size: 13 x 19.5cm Approx [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover; In Dust Jacket]
