LACKS title page._______ Original full calf binding decorated with ornate strapwork painted in cream, green and red (reliure a la cire or entrelac binding) gauffered edges, each board with a central lozenge, the one on the rear board with gilt stamped title "Codex vol.vi"._________ Some old restoration, split to left of spine, one gathering slighly proud. A good, tight copy. Volume six of what would once have been an eleven volume set. Sold as a binding. A nice example of a style of binding being produced in both Lyon and Paris in the mid 16th century. [Attributes: Hard Cover]
