The eight preliminary pages in each consist of an index, and translations of the mottos and quotations (with p.8 of VI publisher's ads). Boards on three volumes somewhat splayed, with Volume I being the most affected: rear board warped, final 8 leaves and pastedown stained, front joint split (board still attached). Other volumes very good, with customary offsetting to edges of first few and final few leaves, some toning throughout, brief notation in a contemporary hand to some endpapers. 6.9 x 4.2 inches.
