Ingolstadt: Alexander and Samuel Weissenborn, 1558. [10], 498, 134 leaves. Vellum over boards with clasps, probably nineteenth-century. Title page and final leaf remounted, some edges trimmed a little close. Contents overall are clear, crisp and bright. Very attractive typography, charming woodcuts in the text. Early Counter- Reformation Bible, primarily the work of Luther's nemesis Johann Eck; first published in 1537. See Darlow and Moule 4203.
