Lightly toned, scattered foxing. 4,500 $ Contemporary report, related to the one printed in Manila in 1637, reporting on the victory and successes of the Spanish fleets over the Dutch pirates and the King of Mindanao, in 1637. The first edition was published in Manila, in 1637, in a smaller format, this edition is as rare, and slightly different. “This relation contains an account of the victories won by the Spanish under the famous governor D. Sebastian Hurtado de Corcuera over the Mindanao pirates and over the Dutch in Ternate, in the Moluccas.” (Maggs, for the 1637 Manila edition). Also, it contains the events at Terrenate, where the Spaniards fought the Dutch in 1636, not found in other editions. This Madrid edition is exceedingly rare, Tavera, 2678.
