Illustrated by Basaldua. Disco was one of the last magazines of the 40s whose inspiration belongs to the basic group of the generation of 40, directed by Juan Rodolfo Wilcock. By rereading today these careful deliveries with covers of different colors, advertisements that little or nothing specific in common with the rest of similar publications, in which the included writings almost always respond to a program, a set of declared aesthetic foundations or, as in certain cases, to more or less virulent requirements. Disco was a literary magazine in the broadest meaning of the concept, a display of universal letters of the highest hierarchy. Ten numbers, totaled from November 1945 to June 1947, left behind a very particular anthology, the product of an exclusively hedonic criterion. Regardless of time and its changes, this magazine was conceived within very strict margins of exquisite literary taste, truly resulting in a selection of magnificent fragments, of great poems, of subtle miscellanies, where chronology, time as active contamination and alive they do not count and only the pure enjoyment of the creative word in its invincible permanence.
