They were only given to close personal friends and as such are signed with wonderful inscriptions-- "A long Dark Story of the Plains." It is the sequel to "Lonesome Dove" and final book in the Call & Mcray tetralogy.Fine Hardcover in Fine Standard DJ in VG to VG+ "1st State" Dust Jacket, rubbed at the front spine bottom corner (the custom dust jacket is on a thin paper which is wrinkled by the heavy black ink of the original artwork) by Sara Ossana, Larry's God-Daughter. It is also inscribed by her wonderfully: "Hell is where all your dreams come true" Larry at the ABAA convention: "I have, of course, continued my little game with the book trade. Since I'm going to be collected, I want to make it interesting, and, also, I want to make it expensive. The true first issue dust-wrapper of 'Streets of Laredo' was done by my goddaughter, Sara Ossana, in an edition of forty copies."Only the 3rd copy to appear on the market.
