Very Good. 4to, contemporary calf gilt, very good, light rubbing and wear to binding, 210 pp. plus index and errata, 35 plates on 34 folding leaves, engraved vignette frontispiece, contents very good and clean. Amman was a student of Boerhaave and is best known for this book, which contains descriptions of some 285 plants from Eastern Europe and Ruthenia (now Ukraine). Last auction record we could find is Sotheby's 2007, about 800 Pounds plus premium.
