Montgomery, L.M.
Anne of Green Gables
L.C. Page & Co., Boston. States "Fourteenth Impression, October, 1909." (The first was June, 1908.) PON in pencil to FFE -- Mrs. Eliza Gates of St. Charles Minn. An Eliza Gates did live in St. Charles 1832-1915, but that wouldn't explain the second address, below, in the same hand: "Riverside, 370 Main St., California." The pastedown portrait of the heroine to front board shows some rub. Tissue guard remains in place over glossy frontispiece. The remaining seven glossy B&W plates are all firmly attached where they ought to be.Some rub visible to corners -- call this volume "good-plus to very-good-minus." 429 pp. followed by 8 pp. publisher's ads, including for the sequel, "Anne of Avonlea." [Attributes: Hard Cover]
Bookseller: Cat's Curiosities [Pahrump, NV, U.S.A.]
