Provenance: Hadney Oakley (name in ink on p. 50). Includes Charles Olson's "I, Mencius, Pupil of the Master"; reproductions of eight works by Franz Kline; and Lysander Kemp's "Eliot and the Sense of History." Also includes poems by Irving Layton, Joel Oppenheimer, Larry Eigner, Paul Carroll, Denise Levertov, and Robert Creeley; and a collage poem by Jess Collins. Among the reviews is a lengthy and revealing piece by Creeley on William Carlos William's 'Selected Essays' (Random House, 1954). and a review by "A.M." of Beckett's 'Waiting for Godot' (Grove Press, 1954).
