Wishing to avoid fraud in the transportation of minted coins and gold and silver ingots en route to Veracruz, Acapulco, and other internal destinations, the viceroy requires all such shipments now, for the first time (!!!), to have a bill of lading stating the number of coins and ingots, their value, and where they are destined. Further the bill must be signed by a mint official and by the individual responsible for transporting the metal. Not in Medina, Mexico, nor González de Cossío, Cien, González de Cossío, 510. As issued, one later horizontal fold. Worming touching four letters, a dark stain in a very slender stripe across parts(only) of the top edge, a clean and good copy.
