Pied Oxen Printers, Hopewell, NJ, 2009. folio. Belgian linen-covered boards, hand-sewn headbands, recessed letterpress-printed paste-paper cover and spine labels. 14 leaves, pp. [4] verse printed recto only. Poem selected by the poet for this special publication, the first separate edition. The two signed and numbered intaglio prints by Nancy Grossman were drawn on copper plates by the artist, and etched, steel-faced and printed during summer, 2008 by Marjorie Van Dyke on a Wepplo press at Van Deb Editions in New York City. Design, hand-setting of type, binding and press-work are by David and Jonathan Sellers. Types are American Type Founders Garamond 459 and 460, printed on an 1848 Hopkinson & Cope Albion (double crown) press. Artwork and types were printed on dampened Somerset Book Wove. The edition comprises 100 copies signed by the poet, artist and the printer. Copies numbered I-XV are reserved and copies numbered 1-85 are for sale.
