Early editions of two parts of Reynard the Fox Rebound in fine half morocco leather with hand made, textured paper covered boards. Two parts bound in one volume. [80] leaves, A-U4; [56] leaves A-O4. First Part – Marks and foxing to pages as to be expected. Rear of A 2 and front of A3 darkened. Woodcut at C4 is missing the lower left quarter (printed as such). H2 has a crease in the printed page that obscures some of the text; if the pages is gently spread the printed text appears – see photo. Early pages trimmed tightly with minor loss to page header. Crease to the centre of the last 30 leaves. Second Part – Title page heavily tanned, some subsequent pages tanned or foxed. F2 or the 22nd leaf is torn and repaired – see photos. L3 or the 42nd leaf has a tear to the top margin without loss to the text. Both parts illustrated with woodcuts.
