One of the many Confederate editions of Hardee's Infantry Tactics, widely used by both sides during the American Civil War, becoming the best-known drill manual of the conflict. Confederate imprint, complete with all plates and bugle calls. Volume I only. Lacking front endpaper. Minor shelfwear. Green lightly embossed cloth, with gilt spine lettering now darkened. (Parrish & Willingham 4865). Good binding.
