Printed by S. Powell, for George Risk, Dublin, 1729. 8vo, pp. [ii], xxii, 154, 145-326, xviii + folding engraved map. Contemporary sprinkled calf, spine divided by raised bands, leather label, other compartments with gilt corner- and centre-pieces. A few minor spots. Boards marked, extremities rubbed, head of spine worn, joints cracked but sound. The scarce first Dublin edition - the first English edition was London, the previous year - of this important eye-witness account of the siege of Isfahan in 1722. ESTC locates four copies in Ireland (three of them in the National Library), five in the UK (two each in Northern Ireland and England, one in Scotland), and four in the USA. ESTC N7925.
