XVI,352; X,351 pp.First edition published the same year. - John Carne (1789 - 1844) traveller and author left England on 26 March 1821. He visited Constantinople, Greece, the Levant, Egypt and Palestine. In the later country he was taken prisoner by Bedouins, but was relaeased in safety.
