London: Printed and Sold by the Assigns of J. Sowle, 1725. Second edition in English.. Boards somewhat scratched; some light toning; a very good copy, collated and complete.. Folio, contemporary calf neatly rebacked with the original spine laid down and a new red cloth label lettered in gilt, corners neatly restored and endpapers renewed, [12], 699, [1], [16], [4] pages. First published in Dutch in Amsterdam in 1717 and per the OUDNB translated by the Quaker historian and lexicographer Sewel himself into English, but published posthumously in London in 1722.
