First edition of this contemporary chronicle of the Russo-Turkish war (1768-1774) . Domenico Caminer (Venice, 1721 - Venice, 4 November 1795) was an Italian writer and journalist. In 1768 he founded L'Europa Letteraria, a magazine that lived until 1773; the following year (1774) and together with his daughter Elisabetta Caminer, ( a famous Venetian journalist), the Encyclopedic Journal, one of the main Italian Enlightenment periodicals. He was also the author of several books on current political issues. This monumental work was published from 1770-1793 in numerous volumes. These eleven detailed volumes record the first years of this conflict between Russia and Turkey over the partition of Poland. Not in Atabey or Blackmer or Koc; Cf. Lib. of Cong. Cat. for the 1776.
