London: Faber & Gwyer, 1925 [1926]. London: Faber & Gwyer,, 1925 [1926]. Demy octavo. Original white linen bevelled boards, stamped in blind on covers and in gold on spine, edges untrimmed. Without the original glassine. Neat gift inscription at head of half-title, St Moritz 1930. Spine darkened and just a little rubbed at ends, one corner lightly bumped, the book block firm and square, a few marks to p. 17, chiefly marginal, the contents otherwise clean and fresh, overall very good. First edition, signed limited issue, number 15 of 85 copies printed on handmade paper signed by the author and specially bound. This was Eliot's first signed limited edition and his first retrospective collection. Ordinary copies were published on 23 November 1925, with the signed copies published 6 January 1926 at 25 s. The famous dedication to The Waste Land ("For Ezra Pound, il miglior fabbro"), originally inscribed by Eliot in the presentation copy he gave Pound, is here printed for the first time. Gallup A8b.
