Two oblong octavo volumes (6 1/4 x 9 7/8 in; 158 x 251 mm). Twenty-four richly and vividly hand colored engravings to each volume (total forty-eight) with engraved initialed/signed plates by Henry Bunbury, Edward Topham and Richard St George Mansergh. Hand colored engraved title pages. One leaf of engraved text to each volume.Original decoratively marbled wrappers with engraved title labels. Expected light wear and soiling to wrappers. Occasional spotting/soiling to plate margins, a few mildly intrusive to images. One plate with half inch tear to fore edge at lower corner not affecting image. Withal, very good copies indeed of volumes scarce in any condition. Housed in a felt-lined, quarter brown calf over marbled boards clamshell case with a red felt divider. "Comic Humour, Caricatures, &c. In a Series of Drol [sic] Prints consisting of Heads, Figures, Conversations and Satires upon the follies of the Age Designed by several Ladies, Gentlemen and the most Humourous Artists &c."
