Eight issues (lacking number 6) of a total of 12 published (including several duplicates) of the short-lived German anti-nuclear student newspaper, edited by Peter Meier, Ulrike Meinhof and Jürgen Seifert, each issue only 3 pages, containing brief writings on the nuclear armament, the use of nuclear weapons, moral theology, NATO, West German politics, and other related topics. Not illustrated. 8vo. Original self-wrpps., printed on varying colors of thin paper stock. One copy (of 3) of issue no. 7 with some staining to front cover, one copy (of 2) of issue no. 9 with a large tear to front cover and first page, overall excellent. Münster (Universität Münster Westfalen/Studentischer Arbeitskreis für ein Kernwaffenfreies Deutschland) 1958. Together with several additional pamphlets including Christliche Friedenspolitik, Atomare Aufrüstung; Politische Informationen - Arbeitsgemeinschaft Demokratischer Kreise (23 June 1958); and a letter by Meinhof addressed to the student body, Brief an die Studentenschaft - Wir studenten und die atomare Aufrüstung der Bundeswehr (15 May 1958). Ulrike Meinhof was a West German far-left militant and in 1970 helped co-found the Red Army Faction (RAF), following her previous work as a journalist for the left-wing magazine "konkret". She was arrested in 1972 and charged with numerous murders and the formation of a criminal association. In 1976, before her trial was over, she was found hanged in her prison cell; controversy remains over the details surrounding her death.
