London: J.M. Dent and Co., 1908. 1st Edition . Very Good. 4.25 x 6.75 inches (11 x 18 cm). Complete two volume set. First Everyman's Library edition. Red cloth bindings with gilt decorated spines. Small stain to front board of volume I. Four small holes to front free endpaper of volume II from two staples. Light marking and a few spots of foxing to page edges. Light foxing to half title page, final blank in volume I and last page of index in volume II. Clean text throughout. The rarest title in the Everyman's Library series. Due to copyright issues the books were withdrawn at the beginning of 1909 and no further printings were issued. Seymour's 'Printing History of Everyman's Library' places this title as number one in his hardest to find list. An excellent example. Overall condition is Very Good.
